Access Care Rep ED, UHS Wilson Medical CenterUnited Health Services is seeking a Access Care Rep ED to join our WMC Access Care department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.ShiftRotationalHours per week:40Salary range:$17.19 - $24.42 per hour, depending on experience.OverviewThe Access Care Representative performs a wide variety of activities related to scheduling, registration, financial compliance and customer support for all services performed at United Health Services. The Access Care areas act as the entry point to United Health Services. It is the responsibility of an Access Care Representative to represent United Health Services Hospitals in a caring, professional manner. Accurate and complete data is collected at access points which directly drives the Billing and Health Information Management System.Access Care is a very intricate part of the registration process in both Emergency Department's at United Health Services.The Emergency Department Access Care Rep performs many job duties including but not limited to; arriving/registering patients into the EPIC system, obtaining all signatures as required by state and federal guidelines, conduct interviews with patients to verify all demographics as well as verify insurance information and eligibility, scan necessary documents into EPIC, collect co-pays when applicable, and review and maintain the work queue on a consistent basis.Shift: Part-Time Evenings and Nights availableQualificationsEducation/ExperienceMinimum Required:High School Diploma or equivalent, with two (2) years experience in similar fieldPreferred:Associate's Degree, or 5 years equivalent experience in lieu of degreeLicense/CertificationPreferred:Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)About United Health ServicesUnited Health Services is a not-for-profit healthcare system serving more than 500,000 people in Upstate New York's Southern Tier region.
