Essential Functions for a Maintenance Technician:

• Perform preventative maintenance on screw machines and attachments

• Instruct other employees in use, care, and operator of machines as appropriate

• Assemble and test operate machine to verify correction of malfunction

• Assist in dismantling machine or equipment to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part

• Assist with studying blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine type and dimensions of material required.

• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving machining problems

• Assist in observing and listening to operating machines/equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair

Additional Responsibilities:

• Run production, assure parts meet customer specifications by measuring parts per inspection plan and enter SPC, as requested.

• Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities preventative maintenance log

• Complete all paperwork per proper procedures (routing card, tool change logs, count sheets, etc.). Properly identify parts and enter production into information system

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand Blue Prints, Inspection Plans, and follow instructions.

• Ability to understand screw machine parts, machine blueprints, and specifications.

• Ability to apply gauging, basic math, and geometry to repairs as needed.

• Ability to perform machine mechanics and assemblies.

• Ability to use and interpret all precision measuring gauges.

Education, Training and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Short term trades or on the job training.

• 1-3 years experience screw machine or similar industry with familiarity with set ups

OR

• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay and hours

• $15.00- $ 20.00 DOE

• This would be a 1st shift position 6am-4:30pm M-Th
