Job Description:
Equiliem is seeking a local contract nurse RN Psychiatric for a
local contract nursing job in Elmira, New York. Job Description &
Requirements
Registered Nurse in New York State.
Minimum of one (1) or more years' experience.
Highly motivated, independent thinker and self-starter.
Enthusiastic team player.
Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
Able to manage multiple projects. Strong follow-up and
communication skills.
Excellent computer skills. (Word processing, office scheduling,
familiar with Windows).
Shift: All shifts are available, and the hours vary.
The candidates can indicate their preference for an 8-, 10- or
12-hour shift.
Every other weekend and some holidays are required.
Candidates that are selected will be fully trained.
Contract Length: Up to 2 years.
Summary of Need:
To provide nursing interventions and medication administration
consistent with the established systematic problem-solving approach
for the delivery of comprehensive nursing care, which are compliant
with the regulatory standards in the clients setting.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Assess the educational needs of the patients and incorporate these
into the nursing care plan.
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients
using the Nursing Process.
Serve as Primary Nurse responsible for coordinating individual
patient care utilizing the Nursing Process.
Utilize knowledge of medical, psychiatric, psychosocial aspects of
illness in the care of patients.
Provide therapeutic environment including counseling and teaching
according to the patient's developmental level and ability to
comprehend.
Serve as a role model/consultant, teacher, resource staff as a
professional nurse responsible for the provision of quality patient
care, professional relationships, compliance with professional
facility standards. Supervise and evaluate RNs and paraprofessional
staff as assigned. Provide overall direction to shift when assigned
as charge.
Must be able to perform basis computer functions required for the
position.
