Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Adult Medical-Surgical Job Duration: Not specified Shift: 12-hour days Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Previous experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred License: Valid New York nursing license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: EPIC Charting proficiency Job Description: - Provide care for patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, pneumonia, orthopedic injuries/surgical procedures, hypertension, and age-related deconditioning. - Respond to occasional thoracentesis and emergent intubation procedures. - Administer medications including normal saline, IV antibiotics, antihypertensives, diuretics, analgesics, and bronchodilators. - Utilize medical equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Roche glucometer, kangaroo omnipumps, EZ lift patient handling equipment, bladder scanner, and Zoll defibrillator. - Maintain accurate and timely charting using EPIC system.
