The Radiology Team Leader serves as the modality technical expert
for assigned modality and/or imaging location. The Team Leader is a
"working supervisor" and is expected to perform clinically,
coordinate the work of the team, and supervise the delivery of
patient care. While the Team Leader's primary responsibility is
coordination of patient care, the supervisory responsibilities
include oversight of patient safety, process improvement, quality,
consistency and standardization of imaging protocols, staff
competencies & training, policy adherence, equipment, and supply
management. Works closely with modality manager and/or operations
manager to provide administrative leadership assistance.
Job Duties
Position DetailsOne of the following certifications is needed upon
hire:ARRT(N)ARRT(R)ARRT(S)NMTCBARDMSIn lieu of bachelor's degree, 4
additional years of medical imaging experience will be
accepted.Specialty Registry in at least one of the following within
24 months of hire, if applicable to area being supervised:
EducationBachelor's Degree- (Required), Graduate from Specialty
Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
ExperienceMinimum of 3 years-Imaging (Required), Minimum of 2
years-Leadership (Preferred)
Certification(s) and License(s)Radiography (R) - American Registry
of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Certified Nuclear Medicine
Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
Board (NMTCB); Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing
Body; Sonography (S) - American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT); Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
(RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
(ARDMS); Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) - American Registry of
