About this role

This position is for a recognized expert in Program Management, a thought leader, who leads strategic planning efforts and establishing objectives for large-sized programs. Spearheads solutions and resolution development for program problems, manages multiple important vendors, and oversees contract negotiations and the P&L of programs.

This position will be responsible for managing major product development programs within Carrier Transicold's Truck/Trailer business segment and ensuring that products meet customer needs and market requirements. The position will lead multi-functional product development teams, including identification of team members, allocation of resources, development and maintenance of individual and group/development team objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead major product development platform teams from initial marketing requirements definition through concept development, product design, and full production.
• Work with regional marketing/sales teams to develop key product specifications that meet and surpass customer requirements
• Manage cross functional teams using Carrier Excellence and Passport processes
• Prepare and monitor program and resource plans. Direct and manage resources to achieve on time, on budget project delivery, interfacing with all functions.
• Engage international supply base for cost effective, reliable solutions
• Communicate project objectives, status, and resource requirements to senior management, as well as to project team
  
  Required Qualifications:
  
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of program manager or engineering leadership
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • 10+ years experience with a Bachelor's degree, 7+ years with a Master's degree
    • Strong project and team management skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, communication and leadership.
    • Customer-focused
    • Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities
    • Strong written and communication skills
    • Strong program management skills with ability to think ahead, anticipate potential problems, and proactively address
    • Technical understanding of transport refrigeration products for truck/trailer business is important

      Pay Range:
      $133,319 - $232,919 Annually
