Summary:As a Juvenile Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in
supporting and guiding juveniles with criminal records through the
complexities of the justice system and their reintegration into the
community. You will work both within correctional facilities and in
community settings, providing comprehensive case management
services aimed at rehabilitation, skill-building, and successful
reentry. Duties:
- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of
juveniles' backgrounds, needs, and risks to develop individualized
case management plans. Collaborate with other professionals to
ensure comprehensive planning.
- Supportive Case Management: Provide case management, mentoring
and support to juveniles to address emotional, behavioral, and
psychological challenges. Assist in developing coping strategies
and fostering positive decision-making.
- Advocacy and Liaison: Advocate for juveniles' rights and needs
within the justice system and community resources. Serve as a
liaison between the juvenile, their families, legal
representatives, and community organizations to ensure coordinated
support.
- Skill Development: Facilitate workshops, groups and programs
focused on life skills, vocational training, education, and
employment readiness to enhance juveniles' prospects for successful
reintegration into society.
- Monitoring and Compliance: Monitor juveniles' progress and
compliance with court-ordered requirements, treatment plans, and
probation conditions. Provide regular updates and reports to
relevant stakeholders, including probation officers and court
officials.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises and emergencies
promptly, employing de-escalation techniques and crisis
intervention strategies as needed to ensure the safety and
well-being of juveniles.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and
detailed case records, progress notes, and documentation in
compliance with organizational standards and legal
requirements.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice,
or related field required or relevant life experience and 2 years
work within the field.
- Proven experience working with juveniles in the criminal
justice system or related social services field.
- Knowledge of juvenile justice laws, probation procedures, and
community resources.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport
and trust with juveniles, families, and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a
multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and
inclusion principles.Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable
transportation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and
weekends, as needed.

- Attendance is mandatory Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of
Outreach/Apricot, Penelope and other required databases preferred.
Work EnvironmentTypically, a moderate level of noise Physical
DemandsFrequent sitting/standing/walking is required. Occasional
lifting and/or moving material of 25 pounds
