Job Description: L3 Network Engineer


Network Implementation Support: Support Network Architect and Network Mgr as they plan and oversee the implementation of network solutions, including network hardware, software, and protocols. Coordinate with vendors, system administrators, and other IT staff to ensure a smooth deployment of the network infrastructure.


Network Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network performance. Implement solutions to enhance network efficiency, reliability, and speed, including load balancing, traffic shaping, and Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms.


Network Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, network outages, and performance degradation. Perform regular network maintenance tasks, such as software upgrades, patch management, and hardware replacement.


Network Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory. Document network changes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Vendor Management Coordination: Coordinate and work with external Vendors.


Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as system administrators, security professionals, and software developers, to integrate network solutions with other IT systems. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior network engineers and administrators.


Network Monitoring and Reporting: Implement network monitoring tools and systems to proactively monitor the health, performance, and security of the network infrastructure. Generate regular reports, analyze network trends, and present findings to management for decision-making and future planning.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Preivous experience as a Network Engineer handling level 3
Strong Cisco or Juniper if no hands on Extreme
Professional certifications in Avaya - Extreme Networks (preferred)
Knowledge of Extreme Network devices a plus
Working experience across Hybrid technologies
Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and architectures, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networks.
Proficient in network troubleshooting tools and techniques.
Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Up-to-date knowledge of emerging network technologies and trends.
