Job Description:

Assistant ControllerAre you someone who can provide high-level support to a Controller as they manage the company's accounting and financial activities?As an Assistant Controller on our team, you will understand financial terms, work with intercompany accounting such as journal entries and other GL work, pay and produce invoicing, follow appropriate recording procedures, and successfully produce financial summary statements and reconciliations. Experience working for a family business is a must, in addition to AP/AR and asset management skills are required. In this role your responsibilities include: Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidentialPrepares, analyzes, and consolidates monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsEnsures all accounting practices are following legal guidelines and established accounting principlesAssists in maintaining internal controls and policiesAssists with billing and tax documentation preparationVendor management Collaborates with the IT department to maintain financial records and system processesIdentifying solutions to discrepancies in financial recordsSkills and Qualifications of the Assistant Controller:Resumes will be accepted from those who have a bachelor's degree and relevant coursework/experience in accounting, business, or equivalent business experience and 7+ years of progressively responsible experience.The right candidate must be proficient in the use of QuickBooks or similar software and Microsoft Office software.
